What A Difference

What a difference a year makes! It's hard to believe how much our lives have changed in less than a year. We took our annual Destin trip over the weekend - something I've done my entire life...something my parents have done even before I was born. Back in 2007, we started taking a "family beach pic." I thought it would be fun to document how our family would grow and change over the years to come. Of course, I didn't expect it to change so drastically so quickly...

Gracie Oops

Getting ready for Emily, we decided we needed a video camera. I thought to myself, we'll probably buy a video camera and never really use it for daily captures (like I do still photography), which is a shame b/c some of my most funny childhood videos were captured spontaneously (my dad being a photographer and all - he always had that video camera handy).

I use the video camera on my phone all the time to take funny video's of Gracie and Harlee and thought I'd probably use it more with Emily than an actual video camera....which brings us to our new purchase...

We bought a Flip this past weekend. It's a little HD video camera that is so small and handy...I love it. It came with software to edit, upload, etc. and has a USB that pops out and plugs right into your computer...no memory cards! I'm sure I'll use it a lot. We've actually been getting a lot of filming practice in with my girls...see below my little video of Gracie....Note, she was not hurt in the making of this video! =)

Gracie's Oops...

Emily Elaine's Debut

We had our 4D sonogram this past Friday. At first, I couldn't tell who she looked like, but after seeing her profile shots, she is def Michael made over. =) The pic of her putting her hand in her mouth looks JUST like him! It's so funny. Maybe she'll have my sweet personality. ;) J/K. Check out our gorgeous little girl...

Week 27

Well, I'm 27 weeks prego (or, I will be on Tuesday). We are having our 4D sonogram this coming Friday and we are soooo excited!! I really hope we can get some good shots of her little face and try to see who she's going to look like. I'm betting she'll look like her daddy since most 1st borns tend to favor their dad's.

Anyways, Emily's nursery is coming along good. I ordered her bedding today - I'm having it custom made by the same girl that made Abby's bedding...she's awesome and we highly recommend her!

I took some pics of a few parts of the nursery this afternoon - Gracie and Harlee were my models. Can't wait til it's finished, but having lots of fun decorating it!

I also took a shot of my ever expanding belly and compared it to one of the 1st shots I ever took of it - at 11 weeks....wow, what a difference 3 1/2 months make!

Fabric for Bumper. It will have light pink accents.

Mama bought this chest for me when I was little and I used it my whole life until I got married. I painted it black and changed the hardware. I also have the dresser, which will be E's changing table.

My beloved Monchichi. I carried this ugly thing around with me forever and it caused me (and my mom) great panic when it went missing in MetroCenter Chick Fil A. Thankfully, he was located. =)

Thanks to Uncle David and Aunt Melissa for Emily's first soccer ball. Daddy is already playing with it. =)
