Oh Know!

Looks like we might have a thumb sucker on our hands! She's never really loved paci's. I mean, she takes them - especially at night, but all-in-all, she tends to reject them. She prefers sucking on her hands, which lately has turned into a thumb! I know it's a very hard habit to break. I mean, you can just throw away the paci. It's cute though, huh?! =)

  1. Don't worry about the thumb sucking too much right now. I think that's just a big thing with nursing babies - or she could be teething. Jake did it off and on for a while. He was never even offered a paci b/c I didn't want to have to break him of that. He weaned himself from the thumb sucking about the time he weaned himself from "me". Good luck.
Oh, and we used the Playtex Ventaire bottles when Jake went from breast to bottle and just bought two new boxes (in pink and yellow of course) for Baby Allie. They're fairly cheap and they help with the gas.
Babies-R-Us has them on sale right now. Buy one get one 50% off!!

  2. Jennifer,
First of all I want to say your words about your mom are beautiful! Secondly, Andie is 6 months old and has just recently started taking a paci,(when she started teething). she was nursed for 3 months and only took a paci occasionally the first couple of weeks. She started on her thumb at about 10 weeks or so, but has since moved on. So, she may not quite be a thumb sucker, I sure thought Andie was going to be! I love your blog!
